Welcome to York Caving Club

Looking for York University Cave & Pothole Club? You want this site.

We are a friendly caving club based in the City of York, close to the major caving areas of the Yorkshire Dales and Peak District.

Established in 2008, we have become a very popular club with both former students of the local university caving club, and non-former students alike. We are active in all aspects of caving, including regular weekends away to explore the caves of Somerset, Wales and Ireland, as well as frequent socials in the pubs and eateries of York. Our exploration group have also been involved in the recent discovery of two major new caves in the North York Moors totalling over one mile of previously unexplored passage.

Please take a moment to look around our website. You will find information, photos and reports on all our past, present and future events and explorations. If you would like to get involved or for further information please contact us.
